The 11 April 1990 the Haven oil-tanker, coming from the Kharg terminal in the Persian Gulf with a load of 220 thousand tons of "iranian heavy oil", catch fire in front of Genoa, and sink, killing some men of the crew and provoking most serious ecological accident of this type never happened in Italy.
